OUR HISTORY Courtney Bolender was five years old the first time she went out with the Goldens Bridge Hounds Fox Hunt and some of her fondest childhood memories are of taking lessons at Joe and Linda Pintos Salem Sunshine Farm, where her father, Bob Bolender, taught the pony club on Friday afternoons. These early experiences would be the first of many equine adventures that have shaped Courtney into the horsewoman she is today. More than twenty years later Courtney and her father, Bob, have launched a new endeavor with excitement and anticipation. Together they have built C.B. Walker Stables in Brewster, NY, a new equestrian facility built on the dreams of their long family history in horsemanship.The name C.B. Walker symbolizes the spirit and commitment to horsemanship instilled by Courtneys great grandfather Charles Brewster Walker, who paved the way for Courtney and Bob, through five generations of horse lovers and professionals to open a state of the art riding facility with an atmosphere of support and passion. Courtneys years of experience are built upon the long standing fundamentals of horsemanship she has been exposed to her entire life. She has been involved in many different areas and disciplines of riding, such as: horse and stable management, dressage, eventing and stadium jumping. C. B. Walker Stables offers riders a chance to experience everything about horses and riding. The Bolenders believe in the importance of promoting camaraderie; learning the how tos regarding horses; the significance of confirmation, correct feeding and schedules, and veterinary care.C.B. Walker Stables is primarily a boarding, training, lesson and sale facility. At the same time, Courtney and Bob are committed to keeping riding fun and reminding everyone that there is more to riding than competition; its about finding a true partnership between horse and rider.
